There was a wooden model next to it. I tried them both. The wood may have had the muddiest sound I have ever heard from any acoustic. But the Steel Body sang to me with a true resonator sound, "just like ringing a bell". Have not regretted this purchase, ever. Right now I have started an experiment by tuning down to B to B tuning. I generally use bronze medium strings, and although a little sensitive to tuning two and a half tones lower, it works better than I expected. I wonder if anyone else have made this experiment, perhaps with heavier strings, possibly even those marketed as baritone sets. - William C. Tuned it up and played the Hot Tuna "Water Song". It was like spotting a cute puppy in a dog pound and it obviously needed a good home. Done!

I was tinkering with Rogues and a Blair with mixed results. I wanted to go electric, so I searched a lot for good pickup options. Found that many guys prefer the magnetic ones (like the Lace) for their tone, but I wanted just a true acoustic feeling and sound. I ended ordering a Schatten transducer pickup last christmas and got exactly what I wanted -- just the clear sound of my reso louder. Still in love with it. Just posted a video of me playing it: http://youtu.be/2u-WlOwP7C8McFlyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15280897531630322318noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7184770256379673783.post-8096245957206124902013-01-18T17:57:09.665-08:002013-01-18T17:57:09.665-08:00I love mine,it had me going nutd for awhile till I...I love mine,it had me going nutd for awhile till I took it to a pro whos big thing is resno's,I picked it up and holy cow. Couldn't move it, so I figured, it was meant to be mine. Put a Lace sensor pickup at the neck, and it is MAJIC! I will be buried with it.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
