Sonic blue's my favorite Fender color too! I have a '65 kerry green SG special; it's a refinish. I've been enjoying The Ones That Got Away. Keep it up!

I certainly am reading this thing! I can't jhelp wondering how many guitars you've had over the years, and how soon the stories are going to dry up.

Thanks to everyone that left a comment! Thanks for the encouragement...I got a few emails as well. To answer one of the comments: I've got quite a few stories left. I've been pretty bad about selling things I shouldn't have.

Also, I'm hopeful that more people will share their own stories of The Ones That Got Away. If you have a story of your favorite guitar you wish you'd never let go, please send it my way along with a few photos if you have them. I'd love to share your stories.

I'm reading and enjoying it. This blog gives you an excellent excuse to keep buying and selling more guitars, just so you can write about them.

Hey, I'm reading! My problem (and more so my wifes) is the ones that didn't get away. Just read the about the guy who sold his 60's Tele. While I think old guitars look great I sometimes wonder how much of the 'goodness' in those old guitars is just in the mind or the memory.

hey, you are not alone.. lots of guitar players miss their old guitars!!

Back in'75....bought a 1958 Gibson Melody Maker at a pawn shop in Cincinnati for $100.00.....traded it a year later towards a new 1975 Fender Telecaster Custom...Ahhh Humbucker!!! (Pitiful 3 screw neck mounting, though)....Traded that one for a 1977 Gibson L6S....Santana style....AHHH, Gibson....back to Gibson....If only I had.......
